All Grown Up
My eldest Keisha is all grown up, well not really. But she's grown so big already! Here's a picture of her I took while we were at the mall. She wanted to buy a bonnet so we tried one on for size.

A Surprise
Our internet service provider gave us a gift as their token of appreciation since in our 8 months with them, we've never been late in paying a single bill. Our reward? A free Blackberry 9220, and we gave it to Keisha.

Who Needs a Babysitter?
This was Henry's entry to a contest on Facebook which features pictures of your pitbull pet. The kids really play with Mafia a lot, and she is very gentle and friendly whenever she's playing with the kids.

Making Faces
I wonder why Keisha likes making this particular face. Sure, she looks cute, but I find it weird. Lol.

Meet Dallas
Meet Dallas, Keisha and Nicole's newest pet. We kept her from the last batch of puppies we had. She's an adorable little puppy who doesn't mind being dressed up.

A Big Girl
I can't believe how time flies. The little baby girl I used to hold in my arms is now a little lady. :)

The Little Chef
My little chef Keisha. :)
She loves to help around in the kitchen, although it's me who's afraid she might get hurt when the oil splatters when she's frying stuff, and when she tries to chop things.

Keisha, Tita Lena and Mommy Lili
This picture was taken towards the end of January, where Daddy celebrated his birthday by eating out with us. We're glad to see Mommy Lili smiling despite everything that happened recently.

Off to School
One kid down, one more to go, lol.
Keisha's already en route to school, and most probably already there since it's 7:02am already. She's growing up too quickly in my opinion, quicker than I can catch up. She'll be turning 8 on October, and whenever I think about it, I just sigh.
I sometimes wonder if I'm doing a good job with her; I have my doubts. I love her to my last breath, and I'll do anything for her, but I wonder if I'm doing a good job of showing it to her. Every morning I'm stern with her when it comes to eating her breakfast but when she leaves I feel sad, like I could have done better than scold her.
When you get older Keisha, and when you read this, please know that I am very sorry for all the times I was stern on you - breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and I just didn't want you going to school on an empty stomach. :( It's nothing personal, and I could never be mad at you.

Over the Jonas Brothers
I was seriously trying to conceal a smirk when my eldest daughter Keisha "officially" announced she didn't like the Jonas Brothers anymore. Apparently, the reason behind the sudden dislike is the fact that she likes a new boy band now, the Big Time Rush. Oh well, let's see how long this one lasts.

No Classes Today
December 8 is the Immaculate Conception, and since Keisha goes to a Catholic school, she doesn't have any classes tomorrow. We're going over to my aunt's house to visit her grandfather's (my dad) sister who arrived from Canada to spend the holidays here.
I don't know the results of her mid quarter exam yet, but I am keeping my fingers crossed that she did well. We have a deal that every single toy she put on her wish list I would purchase, so the deal will be off and I'll have to think of a different present to give her for Christmas.

Keisha and Princess
My sister Elena took this picture of Keisha and our pet shih tzu Princess who just gave birth a week ago when they stopped by for a visit. Keisha's really thin in this picture, as she lost a lot of weight after having a fever for 3 days. Good thing everything's OK and she's back to school today!

Daddy's Girl
No matter how Keisha teases and argues with her dad, she is really daddy's little girl. I snapped a picture of the two of them sleeping one night, and as you can see, my eldest daughter has her dad in an embrace. Hahaha Keisha, I have evidence!

Keisha's First 3D Movie - Shrek Forever After
Keisha's first 3D movie was Shrek Forever After last May 30 with me, Henry, and Nicole. At first, Keisha was really scared because she thought that the dragon in the movie would come out and gobble her because of the 3D glasses, hahah! But after reassuring her that the movie is just a movie and nothing's going to pop out of the screen, she reluctantly placed her glasses on.
Once she did, Keisha kept grabbing her daddy's hand and constantly pinching him, as she thought the effects from the movie like the falling bits of paper, snow, rain, and some of the characters who seemed to extend body parts outside of the screen would actually touch her.
Keisha was really thrilled after the movie, and couldn't help but gush over how great the movie and the effects were. Although personally, I think that the film had a more mature plot, my kid still loved it anyway.

Practicing her Writing
My dad got Keisha to practice her handwriting, something I've been unable to do. :-)
She's already in elementary come school year 2010, and I'm really excited about it but nervous at the same time. She'll be in school from 6:45 in the morning all the way to 12:15 at lunch. This will be the first time she'll be gone for such a long time all day.
We already bought her books, her Barbie schoolbag as she requested from her grandma, and other miscellaneous stuff she needs for school. Her bag's so big it looks like she's going to the airport.
Hopefully, before Keisha starts school, her handwriting would have improved and she'll be doing as good as she's always had in the past two school years.
