Artzooka

Keisha really likes watching Artzooka, and I'm glad that as she's growing older, she is now getting more into arts and crafts. I wouldn't have wanted anything else for her. I'm glad she's interest in using her hands in creating crafts she can display at home.

No Classes Today

December 8 is the Immaculate Conception, and since Keisha goes to a Catholic school, she doesn't have any classes tomorrow. We're going over to my aunt's house to visit her grandfather's (my dad) sister who arrived from Canada to spend the holidays here.

I don't know the results of her mid quarter exam yet, but I am keeping my fingers crossed that she did well. We have a deal that every single toy she put on her wish list I would purchase, so the deal will be off and I'll have to think of a different present to give her for Christmas.

Mid Quarter Exams for the 3rd Quarter

Good luck to my 7 year old baby daughter Keisha on your exams tomorrow! No matter how big you get, you will always be my baby!

Happy 7th Birthday to Me!

Thank you mommy, daddy, my little sister Nicole, grandma, and everyone else who made my 7th birthday party super memorable! I loved my Hannah Montana theme party from McDonald's at school!

Keisha and Princess

My sister Elena took this picture of Keisha and our pet shih tzu Princess who just gave birth a week ago when they stopped by for a visit. Keisha's really thin in this picture, as she lost a lot of weight after having a fever for 3 days. Good thing everything's OK and she's back to school today!

Suzy's Lounge Bar - A Bar in Shenzhen, China

Do you want to go to a nice comfortable place to have some refreshments and even have fun with playing pool with no huge crowd? If that's the case, you must definitely check out Suzy’s Lounge Bar – it’s just a few short steps along the Kempinski Hotel, the New Year Hotel, Holiday Inn, along with the Grand View Hotel.

Suzy’s Lounge Bar comprises of friendly women employees that all converse in English and will be more than happy to keep you company or just attend to the drinks as well as your snacks. There’s a pool table in which clients can engage in pool with their pals and other customers with friendly games, watch television in the several TVs available in the bar, or perhaps sit back and also take it easy following a whole day's work.

You'll find a wide range of both local and also imported beverages in Suzy’s Lounge Bar. Customers can select from numerous cocktail beverages, beers, sodas, juices, Budweiser, San Miguel, along with Tsing Tao. There are also several quick snacks to choose from, and if just in case you’re looking for a specific drink, just inform the bartenders and they will certainly make an effort to incorporate this for your forthcoming visit.

At Suzy’s Lounge Bar, it is possible to rest and unwind, get a few beverages, enjoy some pool, and have fun with the company of the women staff members while enjoying an inviting setting plus a sense of solitude. It's actually no surprise Suzy’s Lounge Bar is among the most popular lounge bars in Shenzhen.

Scolded by Daddy

Keisha got scolded by her dad last night, and I just hate seeing her dad mad and Keisha crying as well. Our daughter has proven to be really hardheaded at times, and I knew she had to be reprimanded. I couldn't help but feel sad for the both of them though.

Keisha's Newest Craze

My eldest daughter Keisha no longer likes the Jonas Brothers, and she's now into Big Time Rush. She and Nicole keep playing this song over and over it's already driving me nuts! Hahaha.

Daddy's Girl

No matter how Keisha teases and argues with her dad, she is really daddy's little girl. I snapped a picture of the two of them sleeping one night, and as you can see, my eldest daughter has her dad in an embrace. Hahaha Keisha, I have evidence!

Shrek at IMAX in Mall of Asia

Here are pics of the kids when we watched the 3D version of Shrek, plus Keisha with the 3D glasses. ^_^

Keisha's First 3D Movie - Shrek Forever After

Keisha's first 3D movie was Shrek Forever After last May 30 with me, Henry, and Nicole. At first, Keisha was really scared because she thought that the dragon in the movie would come out and gobble her because of the 3D glasses, hahah! But after reassuring her that the movie is just a movie and nothing's going to pop out of the screen, she reluctantly placed her glasses on.

Once she did, Keisha kept grabbing her daddy's hand and constantly pinching him, as she thought the effects from the movie like the falling bits of paper, snow, rain, and some of the characters who seemed to extend body parts outside of the screen would actually touch her.

Keisha was really thrilled after the movie, and couldn't help but gush over how great the movie and the effects were. Although personally, I think that the film had a more mature plot, my kid still loved it anyway.

Practicing her Writing

My dad got Keisha to practice her handwriting, something I've been unable to do. :-)

She's already in elementary come school year 2010, and I'm really excited about it but nervous at the same time. She'll be in school from 6:45 in the morning all the way to 12:15 at lunch. This will be the first time she'll be gone for such a long time all day.

We already bought her books, her Barbie schoolbag as she requested from her grandma, and other miscellaneous stuff she needs for school. Her bag's so big it looks like she's going to the airport.

Hopefully, before Keisha starts school, her handwriting would have improved and she'll be doing as good as she's always had in the past two school years.

8 Days Over at my Parents' House

Keisha is staying over at my parents' house for 8 days. I miss her terribly, but I also want her to enjoy her vacation. Henry and I are also in the process of finalizing her taekwondo classes for summer to be held in her school starting on the 21st. I'm going to let her enjoy this week as besides, it's only a few weeks away until classes resume.

Keisha's Pet Shih Tzu Ron Weasley

I took some pictures of Ron, the shih tzu we bought as Keisha's 6th birthday present. Looking at him amazes me at how time flies so fast and how big he's gotten. This is my favorite picture of our little big baby boy.

The School Year is Almost Over

Keisha's last day of classes is this 23rd of March already, and her graduation from preschool will be held on the 25th. I cannot help but feel so old as I will soon have a 'grade schooler' with me. Time really flies so fast and I just cannot help but feel sentimental over everything that's happened. She's really getting older and soon I imagine myself worrying about the many suitors she'll have...or maybe I'll leave the worrying part with her dad, hahaha!

Keisha's 3rd Quarter Report Card

Yesterday at 5pm, Henry, Keisha, Nicole, and I all went to Keisha's school to get her 3rd quarter report card. If her 2nd quarter grades went down, this time, all of her grades went up except for one subject - GMRC. GMRC stands for Good Manners and Right Conduct, so you can expect our laughter when we saw her grade go down by one point on this subject. Her exam for this particular subject was a bit off, compared to her other subjects where she got only 2 or 3 mistakes. Her average for this grading quarter is 93.33%, and we are all so proud and happy for Keisha.

3rd Quarter Exam Results

I am happy to share that most of Keisha's 3rd quarter exam results were great. The most mistakes she made was 4, on her GMRC exams (lol!). She got a perfect score on her Language subject, and the rest she only made 1 or two mistakes. What frustrates me though is that on some of her mistakes, when I ask her the question, she knows the right answer but she chose otherwise on her paper. When I ask her why she did that, she tells me she was too lazy to erase her original answer although she knew the right one. Hahaha!

Mommy's Surprise

I surprised Keisha a few days back with a Jonas Brothers t shirt. Unfortunately, the one I ordered originally from the site never arrived, so I asked a friend of mine who prints shirts to make one for me. I don't know why Keisha has her eyes covered on this pic, though.

Keisha Dressed as Snow White

Henry bought a Snow White costume for Keisha to wear this coming Friday for her Character Pageant at school. Although what I would have wanted her to wear was a Hermione Granger costume, we weren't able to find one. Oh well, she looks great in her Snow White costume anyway. Now all we need to do is prepare for her hair and makeup.

Finally!

I can finally breathe a sigh of relief as Keisha's 3rd quarter exams are finally over. Her exams started on Monday and today was her last day. I'm glad she doesn't have to go through reviews with me and her dad anymore, hahaha!

I found reviewing her to be a labor of love, literally. It was hard reviewing her for her Filipino subject as I had already forgotten her lessons, not to mention the fact that it was hard explaining the past, present, and future tenses of verbs with her in Filipino. I found reviewing her for her Reading and her Language subjects a lot easier, though.

Happy New Year!
