Keisha and Monic's Eyeglasses

My mom in law woke me up really early today just to inform me that Keisha broke her eyeglasses. Apparently what happened was, my mom in law put her eyeglasses way up on the fridge, but Keisha took a chair and managed to reach for it. When I asked her why she took the eyeglasses, she responded that she thought we were keeping some coins there which she could use to buy candy and stuff. I don't know exactly how she broke the glasses, but she did.

We might need to go to SM Valenzuela tomorrow when I wake up, so that we can have her glasses repaired. My mom in law is pretty upset because this would be the nth time I bought her eyeglasses and they were just ruined or broken. I don't mind, honestly, because it's not really anyone's fault.

Shopping with the Entire Family

Today Henry, my mom in law, Keisha, Nicole and I went shopping at SM Valenzuela. We really didn't go shopping per se, we just did a couple of grocery shopping and bought Nicole yet another pair of earrings as she lost her earrings again.

Keisha has been getting naughtier and naughtier as the days go by. I don't know what's gotten into her, and I'm hoping that her hard-headedness is just a phase. She's been really stubborn lately and often answers back to me, her grandmother, and her father.

I'm hoping that when she gets to go to school this June, her attitude will change. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, else I don't know what to do.

Adjusted to the Night Life

I am seriously amazed at how my daughter can manage to wake up really early to see me come home when she slept late the night before.

When I arrive home before 6am, I'm really quiet since it's still dark and all, but a couple of minutes after I sit in front of the PC, I can almost predict that my daughter will be going down the stairs and asking me whether I bought something for her (which for tonight I wasn't since most of the stores are still closed when I'm on the way home).

So now, I'm already wrapping up my blogging hours, and I'll get ready to wash my face and grab a few hours of sleep.

A PR of 2!

I don't know if Keisha will appreciate this when she gets older, but I'm just glad to share that this blog now has a Google PR of two since we started this blog on September 05, 2007.

I just checked our Google PR today and I was really surprised about it. I'm glad that somehow, our online efforts are rewarded. I also hope that someday, when Keisha reads this blog we've put up for her, she'll read it with a smile. Now that's our ultimate goal.

Time with Keisha

Right after I got home from work, Keisha and I went to buy a couple of things that we needed. I brought the kids their lotion and cologne, my pills, and my deodorant too. Keisha miraculously settled for a Fruitella bar instead of the regular big chocolate she normally gets whenever we're at Mercury Drug.

I wanted to spend time with Keisha after work, and that's what I was able to do tonight. She's sleeping right now, and I'm glad I was able to fulfill one of my promises to myself and to her.

Time for Keisha

Today, I got home 20 minutes before 6pm and I ate an early dinner and proceeded with blogging. Now that I'm almost done and ready to wrap things up, I just wanted to state in this blog that I really miss spending time with Keisha. Whenever I'm away from home I always feel really lonely.

I won't keep this post long as what I really want to do right now is to just snuggle and watch TV with my eldest daughter. So, I'm saying goodbye to blogging till tomorrow as I want to spend some time with my kids before I call it a night.

Ciao!

A Bit Better

Keisha seems to be getting better as the days go by, but she has lost weight so much and I can't help but feel sad whenever I see her without an appetite. What Henry, my mom in law and I are trying to do is that we always involve her in planning meals and we ask her what she wants to eat and that will be our lunch.

She's sleeping right now but will surely be awake a few hours later. I hope she manages to eat a hearty breakfast and regain her appetite. If her condition does not improve in the following days, I just might have to take her to a pediatrician for a check-up.

Down with the Snuffles

Keisha's still down with the snuffles and the occasional cough, but other than that, she's generally fine. We thought she had a fever, which we were proven wrong. I'm glad we were, otherwise we'd have to separate Keisha from Nicole and stop Keisha from kissing Nicole, which is something she does all the time.

Right now, Keisha's going to the market with her grandma to buy our lunch. Her dad's worried she might have a relapse or something, but I agreed to let her go out. I don't think making her stay at home all the time is going to make her any better anyway, for as long as she drinks her meds on time and doesn't let her back get soaked with sweat.

Ranking at Rankrz

Honestly, my wife got me to check this site out for her blog. I have to admit, I created an account for her at Rankrz so that I could provide her feedback on the site for her blog, but I ended up exploring the blog, updating my account, and answering comments as I updated the tags or words to describe her.

I created my own ranking easily by clicking the Rank! icon with the red crown (well, it does look like a crown) and I started a rank about the best Mel Gibson movie. Her favorite Mel Gibson movie is Braveheart, and she has never liked any other Mel Gibson movie as much as this one. Sure, she liked the Patriot and the M. Night movie with Mel Gibson, but not as much as Braveheart. I'm sure she'll be glad to see her favorite movie rank in her own rankings. All I need to do for now is to wait and see if other Rankrz users add more movies to her ranking, while I busy myself browsing other rankings as well.

Sick during the New Year

Keisha's been busy the whole afternoon playing with one of our neighbor's kids and right now, she's upstairs resting as she's not feeling well. Her mom thinks she may have a slight fever as she is a bit hot, so I bought her fever meds right away and got her to drink them.

Our New Year was great, simple and fun, just the way I wanted it to be. My kids, my wife, my mom and me spent New Year's Eve as we ate dinner, watched fireworks, and then slept afterwards. I always look forward to a new year, as it always brings hope and the promise of a new beginning.
